Mixed Martial Arts

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full-contact combat sport that combines elements from various martial arts and fighting styles. It allows competitors to use techniques from disciplines such as boxing, wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, karate, and others in a regulated environment. MMA competitions typically take place in an enclosed area, known as a cage or ring, and fighters can strike their opponents, grapple, and submit them using a wide range of offensive and defensive techniques. The sport has evolved significantly since its inception, with rules and regulations established to ensure safety and fairness, including weight classes and the prohibition of certain dangerous techniques. MMA has gained widespread popularity and is governed by various organizations, most notably the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
